PAYFULL

Platform

Token Vault. Your customers, your tokens, your business.

Keep payment credentials portable across the payment stack you configure.

What is Token Vault? A payment token is a substitute credential that represents a customer’s payment method without exposing the underlying card number.

What does a token do?

A token replaces a sensitive payment credential with a reference used for authorized payment activity. In this architecture, the vault keeps that reference within your business boundary and makes it available to configured payment paths.

  • The diagram is an architectural explanation, not a claim about a specific provider relationship.

How can network tokenization reduce involuntary churn?

Network tokens can help keep credentials current through card reissues and expirations, supporting continuity for subscription payments. This does not guarantee successful billing, but it reduces unnecessary dependence on a customer manually re-entering a replacement card.

  • Card-updater and token-refresh workflows can be configured with subscription recovery.

Why does portability matter?

Portability means a token can work across the configured processing stack, so changing an acquirer does not inherently require customers to re-enter their credentials. Your vault is yours: request an export at any time for delivery to a new provider.

  • Export is handled using the applicable secure transfer process.

How is this different from a Merchant of Record?

When a Merchant of Record holds tokens, it holds the customer relationship because it is the merchant of record for that transaction. Leaving can require subscribers to re-enter payment details; that creates a meaningful switching cost for the merchant.

What security architecture is described?

The vault architecture uses PCI DSS scope, encryption at rest, access controls, and audit logging as described operational controls.
