Acceptable Use Policy.
A clear review process helps merchants understand whether their business may be a fit for PayFull.
Purpose
PayFull reviews prospective businesses to determine whether their payment operation can be supported within the applicable underwriting and provider requirements. This policy is intended to make that review more transparent.
How the list is applied
The prohibited-business list is applied during the merchant review process. A category’s eligibility can depend on the business model, industry, ticket size, and underwriting outcome; a conversation about fit is not an approval.
Prohibited
- Illegal goods or services
- Counterfeit or stolen goods
- Intellectual-property infringement
- Pornography, prostitution, escort or exploitative sexual services
- Illegal drugs or controlled substances
- Weapons and explosives
- Illegal or unlicensed gambling
- Unlicensed financial services
- Fraudulent, deceptive or pyramid-scheme activity
- Hate, violence or exploitation
- Money laundering, terrorist financing or sanctions violations
- Any product, service or business prohibited by PayFull's acquiring bank, processor or financing providers
Restricted — subject to underwriting approval
Medical and wellness, CBD, alcohol and tobacco, MLM, travel, marketplaces, and financial products may be supported subject to underwriting and financing-partner approval; they are not automatically prohibited.
This list is not exhaustive. A financing partner or acquiring bank may decline a category independently. This policy is factual information, not legal advice.
